Our Valued Staff

David H. Murch

David H. Murch, President/General Manager

David Murch has been associated with the Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home since 1986 and the owner since 2010. David grew up in Ardmore but moved to Grayling, Michigan during his sophomore year of high school. An avid Oklahoma State University Cowboy fan, upon graduation from high school, yes he really did graduate, he followed a life long dream to attend OSU. He's a proud graduate of Oklahoma State University with a B.S. in Marketing and also holds a degree in Funeral Services from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service. David is married to Trista (Standifer) Murch and together, they have four children. From his first marriage, David has two children, a daughter Alyssa who's also a graduate of Oklahoma State University, currently working in the Human Resources Department for Whitney & Pratt in Midwest City and son Austin, A graduate of the University of Michigan and an MBA from Oklahoma State University. Austin is currently working with Sandia National Labs in Albuquerque, N.M. His two step-sons are Jordan and Jaret Perkins. Jordan is a recent graduate of Marlow High School, he has earned his Black Belt in Bushido Kai Karate and is currently working as a funeral directors assistant here at the funeral home. He's also recently married to the former Aspen Howard and is living in Rush Springs. Jaret is attending Marlow High School and is and in the class of 2017. He has earned his Brown Belt and is a member of the MHS Football & Track Teams. Jaret also excels at Speech and has performed very well and is currently working his way to a state title. He's also the proud grandfather to his one and only granddaughter, Lorelei Murch. She already has him wrapped around her little fingers. An outdoors enthusiast, David loves to hunt and fish and he especially enjoys fly fishing, although he's not that good at it and please, don't even ask about his golf game! He's also been known to spend a little seat time on his tractor at the farm. David has been extremely active in both community and professional organizations and has held leadership positions of countless community organizations. He's also a past President of the Oklahoma Funeral Directors Association and is a past board member on the Marlow Municipal Authority among other boards.

Paul Robert Newman

Paul Robert Newman, Funeral Director/Embalmer

Robert has been with Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home since 1991. He grew up in Duncan and graduated from Duncan High School and earned his degree in Funeral Service from the Dallas Institute of Funeral Service in 1995. He is married to the former Cavin (Fowler) Newman and together, they have one son, Conner who is attending Southwestern Oklahoma University in Weatherford. Robert is very active in his church where he’s a Deacon and he also plays the drums for his gospel band, the Gospel Travelers. When you visit with Robert, ask him to tell you about trying his hand at being a rodeo clown after 20 plus years of retirement from that line of work. You’ll soon learn why he is so involved in his church. He is a true testament to the statement, “The mind is willing, but the bodies’ not able.”

Trista Murch

Trista Murch, Pre Need Advisor

Although born in Alabama, Trista grew up in Bray, OK and is a graduate of Bray High School. She also holds a degree in Human Ecology/Psychology from Cameron University. Here at the funeral home, her main focus is on helping our families preplan their funeral or cremation services. She also helps keep David on task, which is really a full time job in itself, and also fills in and helps wherever she’s needed.
When she’s not working at the funeral home, Trista enjoys working around the house, decorating, tending to the flowers, and yes, cleaning. She loves to entertain and especially loves when family and friends are gathered at her home where everyone can spend time together. She is the mother of Jordan and Jaret Perkins and the newly anointed GiGi for her granddaughter Lorelei Murch. Trista is married to David Murch, thus the name, lol!

Jordan Perkins

Jordan Perkins, Assistant Funeral Director

Jordan was born and raised in Marlow, graduating from Marlow High School in 2014. He is a Black Belt in Bushido Kai Karate and is also an instructor. After his graduation from high school, Jordan worked in the oilfield in Odessa, TX for a year. He returned home and began helping at the funeral home on a part time basis and fell in love with the work and the opportunity to serve the families in his hometown. He is currently preparing to advance his career by applying for, and attending mortuary school.
Jordan is newly married to the former Aspen Howard and they make their home in Rush Springs. Aspen works as a hair stylist at New Image in Duncan. Jordan spends his spare time helping his father on their farm. He loves to be outside and enjoys any opportunity to do so.

Kaela Bratcher

Kaela Bratcher, Receptionist

Kaela has almost always been in this area, graduating from Bray High School in 2004. She currently lives there in Bray "city limits" with the love of her life Aaron, which she married in November of 2013. Together they have 4 wonderful children (the Little Bratcher Bunch). Aundrea, the strong hearted talent artist that is amazing with young livestock and a very hard worker. Aubrey, the football player, wood working, and sheep business young man. He is always up to making money. Blakelie, the little book fanatic and the boss of everyone in the household so she thinks. Stocktan, the one with the always can do attitude. He has the no fear of anything which gives grey hairs or in Aaron's case less hair. Kaela enjoys cooking for her rowdy bunch and husband. Other interests include decorating, wood working, working in the flowerbeds, loving on Pepsi her colt, and helping Aaron around their farm in her spare time.
